Coolmore have announced fees for their 20 strong European sire roster with three new additions City of Troy (Justify), Auguste Rodin (Deep Impact)and Henry Longfellow (Dubawi) and a significant increase for Wootton Bassett, who is currently in Australia.
“Coolmore are delighted to welcome three outstanding new prospects for 2025," said Coolmore's director of sales, David O' Loughlin.
"City Of Troy has long been the apple of Aidan O’Brien’s eye and he couldn’t be more positive on his sire Justify. He was an outstanding two-year-old and again proved by far the best of his generation this year."
Standing at € 75,000, City of Troy retires with overall record of six wins (7f to 1m4f)- from eight starts with G1 victories in the Epsom Derby, Coral Eclipse Stakes, Juddmonte International and Dewhurst Stakes.
Priced at € 30,000, Auguste Rodin is expected to run in the Japan Cup and already has an equally impressive CV with G1 wins in the Futurity Trophy at Doncaster at two followed by the Epsom Derby and Irish Derby, Irish Champion Stakes and Breeders’ Cup Turf last year. This year he won the G1 Prince of Wales's Stakes at Royal Ascot.
"Auguste Rodin must be the best-value horse in Europe at €30,000 and is a fantastic-looking individual," said O'Loughlin.
"Six Group 1 successes at two, three and four years, he’s by a sensational stallion in Deep Impact, while his first three dams all performed at the highest level over a mile or less."
Priced at €15,000, Henry Longfellow rounds out a trio of new G1 superstars adding to the roster.
"Henry Longfellow also offers tremendous value at just €15,000. Like his sire Dubawi, he went unbeaten in three starts at two including the Group 1 Vincent O’Brien National Stakes, and he’s arguably his best-looking son ever to retire to stud,” said O'Loughlin.
"He showed top class form over a mile this season, most notably when going down by just a neck to Rosallion in the Group 1 St James’s Palace Stakes. And to cap it all, he’s out of one of the best Galileo mares of all time (Minding) and bred on the same cross as Night Of Thunder."
Wootton Bassett has had a fee increase from €200,000 to €300,000 off the back of an outstanding year with his first juveniles conceived in Ireland. That crop of foals has so far produced 39 winners that include 13 stakes-winners headed by four G1 winners – Henri Matisse, Camille Pissarro, Twain and Tennessee Stud.
