"He was an outstanding individual that was faultless. There was absolutely nothing that could be criticised of him,'' Monds said.

"I want to thank Inglis for giving us the opportunity to come to this sale and I want to congratulate Inglis on what they have done with this new complex. It's remarkable. I'm an extremely proud vendor and proud to be associated with Inglis.''

Justin Bahen, Orbis' Director of Racing and Bloodstock, described the Brazen Beau top Lot as "stunning''.

"And he was as active tonight as he was at the start of the week,'' Bahen said.

"I think Brazen Beau is a quality stallion on the way up and this colt, he had such a strong hind quarter and a good brain which I think is most important.''

Inglis' Managing Director Mark Webster was proud of tonight's achievements.

"This sale has gone to new strengths and I think the buyers are seeing that,'' Webster said.

"We had the Golden Slipper winner and runner up last year and people are paying attention to the Classic sale.''
