2YO Sale Mail Kirkham Plate

Tara Madgwick - Friday October 25

No stakes racing for juveniles this weekend, but the $160,000 ATC Kirkham Plate (1000m) at Randwick does hold some interest with a field of largely unraced babies three of which went around in a recent key trial.

$1.35million Inglis Easter purchase Chicama is the most expensive runner and he was a late closing third in a recent trial that was won by Comedy with The Little General in second place.

Chicama is a half-brother to triple Group I winner Shoals and stakes-winner Groundswell and is from the royal family with his dam The Broken Shore, a half-sister to Group I winners Redoute’s Choice, Manhattan Rain and Platinum Scissors.
