Prior to working on the Gold Coast, he completed a Bachelor of Business Administration at the City University of Hong Kong as well as enjoying stints at Muskoka Farm, John Moore Racing and the Hong Kong Jockey Club.

"It is both a profound honour and privilege to be given the opportunity to join such an esteemed and historic company in the global thoroughbred industry,” Wong said.

“I am eager to embrace new challenges in this role and to help drive Inglis' vision and strategy moving forward as the company continues its expansion into the global market across various segments."

Inglis Bloodstock CEO Sebastian Hutch is thrilled Wong has agreed to join Australia’s leading thoroughbred auctioneer.

“Nicky is someone whose work we have admired for some time, so when the opportunity presented itself to have him join our team, it was something that we were very keen to pursue,” Hutch said.

“For a young man, he has accumulated a vast amount of experience and his incredibly broad skill set is going to complement our team very effectively.

“We are constantly looking at ways to enhance the nature of the service that we offer to our clients and Nicky is going to be a big part of that going forward.”

Wong will start at Inglis on November 11 and will be based in the Riverside office in Sydney.
