2YO Sale Mail for Wednesday

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday October 15

Wednesday meetings around Australia feature a number of juvenile races in the eastern states with Warwick Farm and Doomben both hosting two year-old races and at Caulfield we see the $175,000 Listed MRC Debutant Stakes (1000m) which has attracted a full field of 13.

Click for all the Caulfield Sale Mail and the full list for this race.

The most expensive runners are Written Tycoon colt Winmar, a $520,000 Magic Millions purchase for Rosemont Stud/Suman Hedge Bloodstock (FBAA)/Lindsay Park Racing and I Am Invincible colt Veomas, a $510,000 Karaka Book 1 purchase for David Ellis.

A $510,000 K1 purchase, Veomas s a half-brother to G1 winning 2YO Seabrook.

A half-brother to Group I ATC Champagne Stakes winner Seabrook, Veomas has drawn favourably in gate four with Mick Dee to ride the Mark Walker trained colt, who is well fancied and is raced by Cambridge Stud and Seymour Bloodstock.

First season sires Farnan and Dirty Work are both represented by fillies Far More Radiant and Mrs Iglesia respectively.

Warwick Farm

Interesting race at Warwick Farm with four trial winners engaged including Blue Point (IRE) filly Icarian Dream, who was favourite for the Group III ATC Gimcrack Stakes, but scratched from that race. She’s favourite again, but has decent opposition and there are some first season runners with Ole Kirk the sire of Saveur from the Chris Waller stable and Time to Reign the sire of the Bjorn Baker trained Stormy Reign.

$950,000 Zoustar filly Had It All is the most expensive runner and won her only trial for Michael Freedman beating Saveur.

Doomben

A Queensland 2YO race before Christmas and strangely there are no Mishani runners! A couple of these have already raced Lova Flutta and Soul Intent, while unraced Tassort gelding Sercet Sort has barrier one and two trials under his belt.

The only first season sire with a runner is North Pacific with the filly Elodie’s Rainbow.
