Heat 6 – Fillies – O ‘Ole (Ole Kirk) – 49.11 seconds

 

Bjorn Baker and Rachel King combined to win this heat with a fleet footed daughter of first season sire Ole Kirk. Fast to begin, O ‘Ole found the lead quickly and stayed there keeping up a good gallop to the line when ridden along to win by a long neck.

A $325,000 MM purchase from Gilgai Farm.

A $325,000 Magic Millions purchase from Gilgai Farm for Bjorn Baker Racing/Clarke Bloodstock Pty Ltd, O’Ole is the fourth foal from Vellor, a winning half-sister by Sepoy to Group II winning juvenile Altar from multiple Group II winner Hosannah. O’Ole was bred by Gilgai Farm, who also bred and  sold her sire Ole Kirk and they will be hoping O’Ole can come out and get some Black Type as they have a yearling full sister at home.

Heat 5 – Colts – Raging Force (Cosmic Force) -49.44 seconds

ned by Peter Snowden, Cosmic Force colt Raging Force did everything right and worked home hard a long the fence to win his heat by half a length.

 

Raging Force was a $150,000 Inglis Classic purchase.

A $150,000 Inglis Classic purchase for Darby Racing from the Mullaglass Stud draft, Raging Force is the fourth foal of stakes-placed juvenile Miss Loren, who traces back to an old Australian juvenile speed family featuring Group III ATC Gimcrack winner Dandolera and a Blue Diamnd Prelude winner in Hammerbeam.

 

Heat 4 – Fillies – Strada Varenna (Street Boss (USA) – 50.02 seconds

n Baker and James McDonald combined to win this heat with a very well related filly in Strada Varenna, who carries the Labroke Racing Club colours. She was doing her best work on the line and was looking for further to score a long head win.

 

Strada Varenna was a $100,000 MM purchase from Emirates Park.

Bred and sold by Emirates Park, she was bought by Newgate Bloodstock for $100,000 at Magic Millions and is the seventh foal of Group II winner Varenna Miss, who has produced four winners, but no stakes horses. Varenna Miss has a big page as a half-sister to Group I winners Criterion and Comin’ Through and this is her first mating to Street Boss. Bred on the same Street Boss x Redoute's Choice cross as Anamoe.
