Sydney Official 2YO Trial Sale Mail

Tara Madgwick - Thursday September 19

Once upon a time the official two year-old trials in Sydney were the biggest show in town to get a first peek at the cream of the new season juveniles, however times change and the trend to produce them later by many of our leading trainers means there will be just eight heats this year, but still plenty of interest.

Click here for the full Sale Mail on eight heats starting at 9am on the Kensington track on Monday.

Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott dominated these trials last year and then went on to produce the trifecta in the Group III ATC Breeders Plate won by Espionage from Straight Charge and Prost with all three colts going on to win stakes races in the autumn.

They also sent out second, fourth and fifth in the Group III ATC Gimcrack Stakes with Golden Slipper winner Lady of Camelot in that group of fillies.
