Yulong Delighted with First Foal for Icebath

At the 2023 Inglis Chairman’s Sale, Yulong splashed out on four individual mares that sold for $1million or more and all of them are due to foal this spring with $2.3million acquisition Icebath (NZ) producing a filly by the farm’s exciting young sire Alabama Express.

A $5.2million earning Group I winner with multiple Group I placings, Icebath is also a sibling to two more stakes-winners in Courier Wonder and Nowyousee and Group III placed Just Fabulous, whose first foal, a filly by I Am Invincible, sold for $850,000 at Magic Millions this year.

Also purchased by Yulong at the 2023 Inglis Chairmans Sale were multiple Group I winner Montefilia for $3.4million, Berimbau (dam of Imperatriz) for $1.8million and Group I winner Inspirational Girl (NZ) for $1.1million.

Montefilia and Inspirational Girl were both covered by Alabama Express, while Berimbau went to Pierata.
