Impressive First Foals for Signore Fox

Standing at Alma Vale Thoroughbreds, Exceed and Excel’s superbly bred Group III winning million dollar earning sprinter Signore Fox has his first foals being born this spring and Verna Metcalf is happy with what she is seeing.

“Signore Fox foals are sharp, athletic types. I’ve been extremely impressed with his first foals and can’t wait to see the rest of them,” said Verna Metcalf.

Group I placed and a multiple Group and stakes-winner, Signore Fox lacks for nothing on pedigree being a half-brother to Aussie bred 2017/2018 South African Horse of the Year Oh Susanna from imported US Group II winner Sharp Susan (USA), who has left six winners from seven foals to race.

The female family bristles with international Group I winners including Spring at Last, Sharp Lisa and Foundry, so Signore Fox has great depth and quality to his pedigree to compliment his good looks and race record.

Signore Fox covered a small private book of mares last year and proved an extremely fertile stallion sitting at 100% on the Australian Stud book for his first season.

Among the early arrivals are these beauties below.

Signore Fox colt from Red Sista

“What a stunning foal! This colt is full of quality and comes from an incredibly active family, including the 2024 Gr3 Blue Diamond Prelude winner, Bodyguard.”

Signore Fox filly from Linkville

“This filly is incredibly athletic and well-balanced. Her dam hails from a highly active female family, including the 2023 Gr2 Auckland TR Soliloquy Stakes winner, Impendabelle.”

Signore Fox colt from Cullier (NZ).

“Cullier is a maiden mare, and we’re very pleased with her foal. It’s a good-sized, quality foal with plenty of scope, which he seems to put in his stock.”

Signore Fox stands at $5,500 inc GST for the 2024 season.
