Will Saturday be a good day for Tassort?

Interesting race for young Newgate Farm based sire Tassort with his star filly from last season Manaal returning from a spell and the Michael Freedman Group I winner looked sharp and ready to fire in two recent trials, while his talented daughter Ameena is up from Melbourne for Anthony and Sam Freedman and could be the big surprise packet.

The Waterhouse Bott stable have a great record in this race and have Zousain filly Chateau Miraval ready to go and she doesn’t need to improve much on what she showed in the autumn to be in the finish.

Interesting runner is Hellbent filly Bauhinia, who has looked very smart in her first two starts in maiden class so is way up in grade but has race fitness on her side, could she be the next star filly for her sire to follow in the footsteps of Magic Time and Benedetta?
