Premier Sale-Topper Wins Again in South Africa

Making it two wins from three starts at Kenilworth in South Africa on Saturday was promising Snitzel mare Marion Belle, who has a half-brother by Zoustar headed to the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale in March.

Trained by Brett Crawford, four year-old Marion Belle forged clear to win by a length as favourite over 1000 metres at her third start.

Marion Belle as a yearlingA $560,000 Inglis Premier purchase for Craig Roscoe/ Brett Crawford from the Yallambee Stud draft, Marion Belle was the top priced offering at the 2015 sale.

She is the third winner from Belle of the City, an unraced half-sister by Bel Esprit to stakes-winner Cecconi from the family of Golden Slipper winner Stratum.

Maluka Thoroughbreds will offer the current yearling from Belle of the City, a colt by Zoustar at the 2018 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale as Lot 659.

Also winning at Turffontein were Australian bred three year-olds Yakeen (3c Teofilo (IRE) x Reine) and Mujallad (3c Redoute's Choice x Raid).
