The first Extreme Choice yearling of the new season, multiple Stakes winners and mares in foal on desirable covers to stallions including Justify and Too Darn Hot highlight a diverse catalogue for the Inglis Digital August (Early) Online Sale.
With the Southern Hemisphere breeding season only weeks away, there are some especially exciting breeding prospects on offer in the sale, which is now open for bidding at inglisdigital.com.
Australian Bloodstock is offering two black type mares – Zoe’s Promise and Enterprise Pomme.
Zoe’s Promise (pictured) is a G2 winner who has defeated the likes of G1 Epsom Hcp winner Rediener and G1 Sangster Stakes winner Climbing Star.
A winner over 1400m at Eagle Farm in May, she contested the G1 Tatts Tiara at her penultimate start and is offered as an appealing racing and breeding prospect.
Enterprise Pomme is a five-time winner – including as a 2YO - and Stakes placed mare that has raced exclusively in Stakes grade this preparation so far.
There are also several appealing pregnant mares in the catalogue.
Glimmering (Kingman) is a young, well-bred European mare and a half sister to two Stakes horses.
She is carrying a pregnancy from what is likely to be the last Australian-conceived crop of world-class stallion Justify.
Justify’s first two Australian crops include the likes of Learning To Fly, Storm Boy, Air Assault and Legacies amongst others, while his yearlings sold for up to $1,300,000 in 2024.
Global Thinking (So You Think) is another hot prospect for breeders.
The Stakes-winning mare is carrying a pregnancy from what may well prove to be the last Australian-conceived crop of superstar young stallion Too Darn Hot, who it was recently announced will not shuttle to Australia for the 2024 breeding season.
There is also a rare yearling filly by Extreme Choice, statistically Australia’s most elite stallion.
The filly is one of just 41 live foals for Extreme Choice in this crop and is the second foal out of a 2YO Stakes-winning American mare whose first foal was sold for US$350,000 at last year’s Keeneland September Yearling sale
In total the August (Early) catalogue consists of 377 lots – 179 racehorses (106 race fillies), 125 broodmares, 33 yearlings, 28 racehorse shares, 10 unbroken stock and two 2YOs.
