Studs Look to Sponsor Riders for Equimillion

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday July 30

Arrowfield Stud have announced they will sponsor two riders for Equimillion and are seeking expressions of interest from riders that compete on Arrowfield Stud bred horses, meanwhile Widden Stud have found the perfect representative in the shape of South Coast rider Lily-Rose Baxter, who competes on classy Sebring gelding Foxhill Cruise aka Pitcrew.

Rising 14yo Foxhill Cruise (Pitcrew) was bred by Widden in partnership and was paraded as a foal at the Widden Stud open days in 2010 as one of the first foals by Golden Slipper winner Sebring.

Sebring colt from Pine Away (USA) was a star at the Widden Stud open days in 2010.

He was then offered at Magic Millions by Widden where Gai Waterhouse and James Harron Bloodstock secured him for $360,000 and he went on to win three metro races from eight starts retiring in 2015 with earnings topping $125,000.

Racing as Pitcrew, he won three races for the Gai Waterhouse stable.

Widden were involved in the re-homing of Pitcrew to Kala Wicks for re-training and then in time he found his way to Lily-Rose Baxter, who has had a fantastic run on this multi-talented gelding under the coaching of Team Priestley on the South Coast of NSW.

Lily-Rose Baxter and Foxhill Cruise (Pitcrew) are a winning team!

This combination are looking forward to flying the Widden flag at Equimillion in October.

That freckled face is unmistakable!
