A Lot of Winners

A lightning  fast son of champion North American sire Tapit, few could have predicted Westbury Park Stud based import A Lot (USA) would hit the ground running in the way that he has.

A Lot (USA) is a Premium stallion, so test your mare with a Hypo mating.

A multiple Group placed two time stakes-winner at 1400m that ran a North American record time for that trip on turf, A Lot has been making waves this season with his oldest progeny now four and has sired 18 winners from 36 starters for a seasonal strike rate of 50% winner to runner.

His winners are highlighted by pair of smart stakes-winners with quality three year-old A Lot of Good Men winning the Group II WATC Derby, while fast juvenile Sir Dreamalot won the Listed WATC Supremacy Stakes.

Trained by Trevor Andrews, A Lot of Good Men was also a slick juvenile winning two of his first three starts at Ascot as a summer two year-old before training on to even better at three.

He racked up multiple stakes placings before bolting clear to win the Derby by more than two lengths taking his prizemoney haul in excess of $750,000.

Bred

on the same cross as A Lot of Good Men being from a daughter of much missed  WA sire Oratorio, two year-old Sir Dreamalot has already won over $244,000 in prizemoney with the promise of more to come.

With three crops racing that were all conceived from fees of $5,500 or less, A Lot has gotten off to a flying start with a lifetime tally of 22 winners from 43 starters and three additional stakes performers as well as A Lot of Good Men and Sir Dreamalot.

“Given the limited opportunity he has had, A Lot could not have done much more and we believe there is so much upside for him going forward,” said Phil Ibbotson of Westbury Park Stud.

A Lot covered his best and biggest book of 73 mares last spring at an increased fee of $9,350 and has earned another increase this year rising to $11,000.
