Tara Madgwick - Monday January 15

Dual Group I winner She Will Reign ran an encouraging second in her first trial back from a spell at Warwick Farm on Monday and will soon be joined in the Gary Portelli stable by her her rising two year-old half-brother that was purchased from the Magic Millions Yearling Sale last week by Darby Racing/De Burgh Equine/ Portelli Racing for $325,000.

She Will Reign  was in the opening heat of the morning, over 800m on the course proper, and cruised into second behind Marc Conners' speedster Super Too.

Time for War half-brother to She Will Reign that made $325,000 at MMHer regular rider Ben Melham had the Golden Slipper winner under a good hold in what was her first public appearance since finishing second last in The Everest (1200m) during the spring.

She Will Reign's second trial is scheduled for January 29 at Randwick before her raceday return in the $250,000 Inglis Sprint (1100m) on February 10 at Warwick Farm, where a clash with exciting Victorian sprinter Nature Strip is likely.
