$2Million Colt for I Am Invincible

Tara Madgwick - Thursday January 11
Yarraman Park put some fireworks into the 2018 Magic Millions Yearling Sale on Thursday when their I Am Invincible colt from Tai Tai Tess sold for $2million setting a new record for his sire.

He is second foal of stakes-winning Magic Albert mare Tai Tai Tess, a granddaughter of dual Group I winner Arborea.

Reg Inglis and US bloodstock investor Jon Kelly The much admired colt was knocked down to a partnership of Reg Inglis, Jon Kelly and Paul Frampton and is likely to be trained by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott.

"He was the colt of the sale," Waterhouse said. "Reg identified him early, I first saw him at the stud three months ago and we have tracked him ever since."

This buying partnership was the leading buyer after session one securing five youngsters for a tick over $2million, three of those purchased yesterday also sired by I Am Invincible.

The colt from Tai Tai Tess was bred by Yarraman Park and she produced a full brother to him last spring and is now back in foal to I Am Invincible.

The sire of last year's Magic Millions 2YO Classic winner Houtzen, I Am Invincible had a fee increase in 2017 and stood for $110,000 covering 193 mares.
