Windsor Park Stud’s triple Group I winning miler Circus Maximus (IRE) is on the board with his first winner in the Northern Hemisphere with talented filly Alerta Maxima saluting at Goodwood overnight at her second start.
A homebred for Kirsten Rausing’s Lanwades Stud, the Marcus Tregoning trained Alerta Maxima improved on her debut sixth at the same venue last month, to forge clear and win the 6f maiden by a length.
Alerta Maxima is the fourth winner from four foals to race from Group III placed Sir Percy mare Alamode, a grand-daughter of dual Group I winner Alborada, who has produced a dynasty of stakes-winners that include a couple that have found their way to Australia in Aleas and Wyclif.
