Popular Queensland nursery Clear Mountain Fairview are having an open day on Sunday June 23rd from 1pm showcasing their roster of four stallions for this spring highlighted by exciting new addition Alpine Edge with the Frappell family delighted to welcome visitors to the farm.

A brilliant pre-Christmas winning juvenile, Alpine Edge won his first two starts in Group and Listed races and finished second in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic.

The Toby and Trent Edmonds trained son of Better Than Ready trained on as an older horse to score lucrative wins in the $1million Magic Millions QTIS and $775,000 Archer Stakes at Rockhampton proving an outstanding advertisement for the Queensland sprinter and retiring with earnings topping $1.8million.

 

He has settled into his new life at Clear Mountain Fairview and is priced at $7,700.

 

Breeders also have the option of proven value with Worthy Cause, Love Conquers All and Sooboog.

A Group winning son of Choisir, Worthy Cause has proven a real surprise packet producing $1.9million earning Group I winner Hinged in his first small crop of 23 foals and then in his second crop of 16 foals he got Group II winner Cause for Concern with those results making breeders sit up and take notice.

He runs at 63.2% winners to runners and 5.3% SW to runner and has around 70 weanlings and yearlings coming through to boost his success going forward, so Worthy Cause looms as an appealing option with real upside.

 

Sooboog stands at a fee of $5,500, click for a Hypo mating.

A Group winning son of champion sire Snitzel, Sooboog has sired 55 winners worldwide this season including a new stakes-winner with progressive mare Boognish taking out the Group III SAJC Proud Miss Stakes.

Another interesting winner for him this season has been speedy five year-old Why Worry, who won three races in Hong Kong, but is now back in Australia and won a nice sprint race at Caulfield at the start of the month for Liam Howley.

 

Love Conquers All stands at a fee of $5,940, click for a Hypo mating.

Mr Reliable, Love Conquers All runs at 68% winners to runners and the son of Mossman has sired five stakes-winners headed by Group II winners Savanna Amour and Love You Lucy.

His 36 winners this season include Hong Kong winner Phoenix Light and good Brisbane metro winners Magic Conqueror and Wapiti, who won the Group III Sunshine Coast Winx Guineas at three and is still going strong as a seven year-old with earnings in excess of $700,000!
