In a post-Covid world with considerable increases in the cost of living and general inflation, charities like Ronald McDonald House need your help now more than ever. The money raised will allow them to do so much more to assist the families under their care.

In 2024 Bloodstockauction.com is renewing its commitment to supporting families of seriously sick children going through the toughest time of their lives.

In partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities Sydney, together we are proud to announce the launch of our 2024 Stallion Cover Charity Auction in support of the House.

The charity auction will run from Friday 19th July to Tuesday 23rd July 2024.

“We are so thankful to Bloodstockauction.com for supporting Ronald McDonald House in Randwick and can’t thank them enough for thinking of our House and families. It means we are able to support families during one of the most challenging times of their lives and ensure we can keep them by their child’s side as they undergo medical treatment.

"Our House is currently at capacity with a long waitlist so having support from corporate and community groups is paramount. With cost of living only getting higher initiatives like the Stallion Cover Charity Auction means we can continue supporting families at their greatest
time of need."

"Ronald McDonald House in Randwick supported over 960 family stays in 2023, and with the cost of living impacting families across the country, it is no different for our House and families.

The operating costs for our charity continue to rise and it is initiatives like Bloodstockauction.com’s Charity Auction that make it possible for us to provide vital support to as  many families as possible when they are in most need.”

- Simone Daher
CEO – Ronald McDonald House Charities Sydney

From now until the commencement of the charity auction Bloodstockauction.com will be reaching out to stud farms and stallion owners to gather support for this charitable endeavour.

“We are honoured to be supporting Ronald McDonald House in Randwick, the work that this charity does on a daily basis is literally life changing.

My organisation is in a fortunate position to do something to affect the lives of many – through our corporate volunteering and cooking dinner for the families at the House, our team has witnessed first-hand the work that this charity does, we have met the people that this charity supports, we understand its impact.

Contributing to the work that RMHC Sydney is doing and assisting the House in fundraising is something the entire Bloodstock Auction team is extremely proud of. It is our turn to do what we can to support this house and play our part in helping to positively affect lives.

The horse breeding and horse racing industry are made up of very charitable people who care about the lives of others. We know we can rely on their goodwill and empathy. We are calling upon the stud farms and stallion owners to give generously to this cause and to donate stallion covers so that together we can raise much needed funds that will go towards helping families in need.”

- Anthony Gafa
Director – Bloodstockauction.com

Here are a few ways that you can help:

1. The first is to donate a stallion cover to be auctioned off in the charity auction. We are aware that there are costs that studs need to cover and for this reason, studs have the option to donate 50% or 100% of the total sale proceeds to RMHC Sydney.

2. If you don’t have a stallion cover to donate, that’s OK. The second way to make a difference is by bidding on and purchasing one of the many fantastic stallion covers up for auction this coming breeding season. – If you are on the lookout for a covering sire, purchase a cover in the auction and you can keep families with sick children together during treatment.

3. If you are not in the market to purchase a cover, that’s OK as well. The third way you can make a difference is by making a monetary donation to help boost the Stallion Cover Auction fundraising effort:
