Magic Millions Off the Track Cup Back Bigger and Better in 2025

Media Release - Wednesday May 15

Magic Millions Queensland Off-The-Track (QOTT) Cup announces qualifiers in QLD, NSW and the introduction of a new qualifying round in Victoria in 2024 ahead of the QOTT Cup Final at the 2025 Pacific Fair Magic Millions Polo & Showjumping on Sunday, 5 January on the Gold Coast vying for $50,000 in prizemoney.

Peter McMahon won the inaugural Magic Millions Off the Track Cup at the Gold Coast earlier this year.

Following the enormous success of the inaugural Magic Millions Queensland Off-The-Track (QOTT) Cup in January, Magic Millions announces the three official qualifying events for the 2025 Magic Millions QOTT Cup. In keeping with the commitment to national accessibility, Magic Millions and Queensland Off-The-Track will introduce a qualifying event in Victoria for the first time.

The 2025 Magic Millions Queensland Off-The-Track Cup qualifying events;

11 July, 2024                       Festival of Showjumping, Caboolture World Cup, QLD
5 December, 2024            Sydney Summer Classic, NSW
Date / Location                  TBC, Victoria

There were a total of 112 entrants in the two qualifying events for the inaugural Magic Millions Queensland Off-The-Track Cup vying for a place in the final to compete for the $50,000 prizemoney in January. The number of entrants in the first year is a clear indication of the national passion, enthusiasm and commitment of those within the thoroughbred horse-racing industry to retrain and compete retired thoroughbred racehorses in high-quality showjumping events.

The height of the 2025 Magic Millions QOTT Cup qualifiers and final will increase from 90cm to 1.05m. The height increase will enable organisers’ access to Equestrian Australia competition data to ensure that the horse and rider partnership are registered and qualified to compete at this height. Additionally, the horse must not have competed at a height greater than 1.20m in the twelve (12) months prior to the date of the QOTT Cup Final (5 January 2025).

As in 2024, the qualifiers will be open to riders aged 16 years of age and over at the time of the relevant qualifying event.

Further details on the exact date and time of the Victorian qualifier is yet to be confirmed and will be available at www.magicmillionspolo.com.au and on the relevant event websites. Entries for the Festival of Showjumping, Caboolture World Cup open on 21 May, 2024.
