The build up to this month's Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale on the Gold Coast has intensified with the release today of the first supplementary lots.
Imperatriz, the world's highest rated racemare, leads the exciting release of supplementaries to be offered on Day One of the sale on May 28.
Aside from the 10 time Group One winner, the feature supplementaries include eight more stakes performers who are elite future breeding prospects.
Group Two winning juvenile Kristilli, Angus Armanasco Stakes winner Lavish Girl, Group winner Aitch Two Oh and stakes winning juvenile Malaboom are all heading to the Gold Coast.
Kristilli (Hellbent), who last year scored a brilliant win in the $1 million Group Two Percy Sykes Stakes, is being offered through the draft of Yarraman Park Stud after just nine starts.
The lightly raced and electrifying youngster, who romped home against the likes of Tiz Invincible and Kimochi, has always been held in high regard by connections, headed by trainer Annabel Neasham.
This season Kristilli has run a string of excellent races against the best of her generation - including a third in the Group Two Light Fingers Stakes.
Lavish Girl (Xtravagant) heads to the Gold Coast following a run of outstanding group race performances including success in the Group Two Angus Armanasco Stakes at Caulfield, defeating multiple Group winner Argentia and Group One Thousand Guineas winner Yearning.
Since her Group Two triumph, the Ciaron Maher trained five-year-old consistently competed against the best sprinting mares in the country. Her runner up effort in the How Now Stakes saw her split the Group One Galaxy winner Zapateo and the Group One TJ Smith Stakes winner Chain Of Lightning, before again finishing a close runner-up to Group One winner Sheeza Belter in the Group Two Hot Danish Stakes.
The well named Aitch Two Oh (Headwater) has proven herself as one of South Australia's most consistent sprinting fillies and mares across a career that exploded early.
She won a Listed Without Fear Stakes as a two-year-old before training for Richard and Chantelle Jolly to win the Group Three Red Roses Stakes during the Melbourne Cup Carnival, a race where this season's revelation Lady Laguna was fifth.
The quality chestnut extended her record to be a stakes winner at two, three and four when earlier this year she cruised home in the Listed Durbridge Stakes.
The lightly raced filly Malaboom (Spirit of Boom) is another two-year-old stakes winner heading to the Southern Hemisphere's premier breeding stock auction.
At just her second lifetime start Malaboom scored a brilliant win in the Listed Calaway Gal Stakes at Eagle Farm.
Malaboom has confirmed her quality, and indeed versatility, by placing at her next four starts for trainer Matthew Dale in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. All this from just seven starts!
The other black type performers now entered for the National Broodmare Sale include Get Up Girl (No Nay Never), Miss Galore (Per Incanto) and the impeccably related Sanstoc (Tavistock).
Supplementary entries for all sections of the 2024 National Sale are still open, but closing soon. For further details contact a member of the Magic Millions Bloodstock Team.
The 2024 National Sale will commence with Day One of the weanlings on May 26 before the racefillies and maiden mares, including the aforementioned supplementaries, take centre stage two days later, May 28.
