Juvenile Trial Watch – Randwick- $2.6Million Filly Impressive

There were six heats for juveniles at Randwick this morning and some interesting unraced winners including the $2.6million Zoustar filly Clean Energy, a full sister to Champion Filly Sunlight, whose yearling colt by Wootton Bassett (GB) sold for $1.4million at Inglis Easter earlier in the day.

The Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott production line of two year-olds has more ammo in the locker with unraced I Am Invincible colt Ikasara accelerating well in his second trial to win by nearly six lengths running a second quicker than the other two juvenile heat winners at this trip.

An $800,000 Inglis Easter purchase for Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott Racing / TFI from Kia Ora Stud, the colt is the third foal of Australian bred South African Group II winner Ektifaa, whose yearling filly by Farnan sold for $400,000 at Magic Millions this year.

 

Also in the Waterhouse Bott stable is Clean Energy, a $2.6million Magic Millions purchase from Widden Stud. Running in the Yulong colours for partnership that also includes Coolmore, Clean Energy was having her second trial, but first this year and travelled deep all the way before forging clear to win her 735m scamper by more than a length hard held running away.

 

Clean Energy sold for $2.6million at MM last year.

Additional winners were: Pelosa (Russian Revolution), Moonraker (Zoustar), Madrina (Street Boss (USA) and Insist (Extreme Choice).
