Hinchinbrook 2YO Salutes

Zoustar will have to wait for another day to post his first winner with his promising daughter Solar Star beaten into second place as favourite at Bendigo on Sunday by Hinchinbrook filly Graceful Storm.

Graceful Storm as a yearlingSolar Star led for home, but the John Moloney trained Graceful Storm powered up the fence to overpower the favourite and win the 1000 metre maiden by a long neck.

Both fillies were having their first start and will take improvement from the run.

Graceful Storm was a $110,000 Magic Millions purchase for her trainer from the Woodside Park Stud draft and is the firth winner from six to race from Graceful Devil, a full sister to Group I placed Divine Secret, the dam of Group I winner Montoya’s Secret.

Woodside Park Stud will offer the current yearling from Graceful Devil, a colt by Brazen Beau, as Lot 410 at the 2018 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale.

She is the third two year-old winner this season for Yarraman Park’s Hinchinbrook, who has 21 entries for Magic Millions and 28 for Inglis Classic.
