Solar Star led for home, but the John Moloney trained Graceful Storm powered up the fence to overpower the favourite and win the 1000 metre maiden by a long neck.

Both fillies were having their first start and will take improvement from the run.

Graceful Storm was a $110,000 Magic Millions purchase for her trainer from the Woodside Park Stud draft and is the firth winner from six to race from Graceful Devil, a full sister to Group I placed Divine Secret, the dam of Group I winner Montoya’s Secret.

Woodside Park Stud will offer the current yearling from Graceful Devil, a colt by Brazen Beau, as Lot 410 at the 2018 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale.

She is the third two year-old winner this season for Yarraman Park’s Hinchinbrook, who has 21 entries for Magic Millions and 28 for Inglis Classic.
