It’s been a strong start to the year for the newly created Alma Vale /Kitchwin Hills Partnership run by Verna Metcalfe (General Manager of Alma Vale and Kitchwin Hills) and Stud Manager Oscar Englebrecht with the show rolling into Riverside Stables this week for the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale where they will present siblings to a couple of current season stakes-winners, plus the only two yearlings in the sale by Proisir.

Brilliant two year-old Dublin Down won the Group III VRC Maribyrnong Plate last spring and then claimed the Group III ATC Pago Pago Stakes to earn his place in the Golden Slipper. He is enjoying a terrific juvenile season in the McEvoy Mitchell stable and his full sister is one of only two in the sale for her sire Exceedance.

Lot 499 might be worth the wait, the full sister to Dublin Down.

Offered as Lot 499, the second last horse in the sale, she is the third foal of stakes-winning O’Reilly mare Dublin Lass, whose first two foals are both winners.

Another yearling, whose stocks have been on the rise this year is Lot 449, a cracking colt by Zoustar from Group III placed Commands mare Calming Influence, a daughter of stakes-winner Calming and half-sister to the dam of smart stake winning filly Saltaire.

Lot 449, the half-brother by Zoustar to Caballus.

Calming Influence has done a good job with five foals to race all winners, but with her three year-old I Am Invincible colt Caballus now a winner of the Group III ATC Eskimo Prince Stakes and her untapped five year-old son Barassi winning the Magic Millions Maiden in January by daylight, there is a real possibility of a lot more to come from this family.

The Zoustar x Commands nick has some good statistics with 12 winners from 14 runners, so 86% winner to runner and also produced last weekend’s new stakes-winner Celsius Star.

Alma Vale / Kitchwin Hills Partnership will offer a draft of nine with additional highlights below:

Lot 122 Filly Proisir x Madam Choux, by Jimmy Choux

Only filly in the sale by reigning champion NZ sire Proisir. This filly has a 2YO full brother Patissier in work with John O’Shea.

Lot 496 Filly Zoustar x Donelle, by Not a Single Doubt
