Eight year-old So You Think gelding Think It Over has run his last race with his trainer Kerry Parker notifying stewards this morning that his stable star would be retired following consultation with his owner breeder Richard Johnston.

Think It Over won the Group I ATC Verry Elleegant Stakes on March 2 defeating hot favourite Fangirl, but could do no better than fourth in the Group I ATC Ranvet Stakes last Saturday won by Via Sistina (IRE).

Think It Over had already overcome a significant tendon injury following his memorable Queen Elizabeth Stakes victory in 2022 to return to peak form and following a veterinary assessment, the decision was made to call time on a horse thar has given his all to racing.

He formed a great partnership in the latter part of his career with Nash Rawiller and retires with the overall record of 14 wins and 13 placings from 42 starts with prizemoney topping $8.4million.
