The
two year-old fillies maiden at Canterbury on Friday evening features a couple
of blue-blooded first starters including a sister to a an impressive spring stakes-winner
and the second foal of Magic Millions 2YO Classic winner Karuta Queen.
Trained by Peter and Paul Snowden is flashy chestnut Sebring filly Eawase, who
looks a lot like her famous mum Karuta Queen.
A $500,000 Magic Millions purchase for China Horse Club from the Strawberry
Hill Stud, Eawase has shown promise in two trials and has Tim Clark to ride
from gate six.
Gerald Ryan puts the polish on Snitzel filly Sweet Ava, a full sister to his high
class three year old colt Menari.
Retained to race by Corumbene Stud as was her brother, Sweet Ava has won her
only two trials and has the services of Kerrin McEvoy.
