Savabeel Debut Winner Impressive

Tara Madgwick - Friday March 15

A $340,000 Karaka Book 1 purchase, the Ciaron Maher trained Savabeel gelding Vermillion Dragon made light work of a 1500m maiden event at Kembla on Friday to win as he pleased on debut.

Given a good grounding at the trials, albeit without placing, Vermillion Dragon saved his best for race conditions, powering to the line for Jason Collett to win by more than three lengths.
