Two In a Row for Thorn Park's Celebrity Dream

Mark Smith - Saturday December 9

A good start to Kingston Town Classic day at Ascot for owners Bob and Sandra Peters, trainer Adam Durrant and jockey Willie Pike when Celebrity Dream (Thorn Park) added the Jungle Dawn Classic (1400m) to her previous win in the Listed Jungle Mist Classic.

Pike box seated on the daughter of Thorn Park and just needed a run to open up as the field swung for home. And open up id did. Celebrity Dream came clear to defeat Fontainebleau (Alfred Nobel) by three-quarter of a length with Top Of The Class (Star Witness) a half-head back in third.

It advances the record of Celebrity Dream to 7 wins, 2 seconds and 2 thirds from 14 starts with earnings of $300,750.

The 5yo mare was a $260,000 purchase by John Chalmers Bloodstock from the Haunui farm draft at the 2014 NZB 2014 Premier Yearling Sale.

A half-sister to Group II MRC Autumn Classic and Group III BRC Grand Prix Stakes winner and Group 1 Queensland Derby third Villanova and Group II Waikato RC Sir Tristram Fillies Classic winner Vavasour (Redoute's Choice), Celebrity Dream is out of the Group III winner Valpolicella.

A daughter of Red Ransom, Valpolicella has a 2yo colt by Iffraaj (GB) and a yearling colt by Savabeel. She was covered by Savabeel again last season.

Celebrity Dream is one of 28 stakes winner for Thorn Park (Spinning World) who died in December 2012.
