Magic March Offering from Lyndhurst Stud Farm

Sales action returns to the Gold Coast next week for the Magic Millions March Yearling Sale (March 11 and 12) and Lyndhurst Stud Farm will present a big draft of 34 featuring 19 youngsters by the farm’s flagship sire Better Than Ready.

Poised to crack his seasonal century of winners this week with 98 on the board, Better Than Ready is churning out quality winners headed by Group II winning colt Chrysaor and stakes horses The Vowels, Steady Ready, Better Get Set and Skirt the Law, who won the Magic Millions 2YO Classic last year.

His youngsters for this sale include the full brother to promising two year-old colt The Hamo, who has had just the one start for a close third in the $500,000 Magic Millions Debut (colts) back in January.

Offered as Lot 41, the colt is the second foal of unraced mare New Release, a half-sister to stakes-winner Moonlight Hussler from a female family tracing back to legendary matriarch Fanfreluche. He is an eye-catching individual stamped in the mould of his sire and comes from a family that has produced champion Australian sires Flying Spur and Encosta de Lago.

Dam has had three winners from four to race and they are all multiple winners with the family featuring Group I winner Hucklebuck and Group winners Bon’s a Pearler and Stirling Grove.

Half-sister to stakes-placed Goldifox and two more winners and is from a winning half-sister to Group II winner Twilight Royale, the dam of this season’s Group II MRC Sandown Guineas winner Serasana.

 

Lot 288 Colt Better Than Ready x Dupre, by Duporth

Half-brother to a winner from a half-sister to Aussie bred South African stakes-winner Nona in Command, the dam of South African Group winners Pretty Young Thing and Warrior from a family tracing back to influential producer Reigntaine, dam of blue hen Procrastinate.

 

Lot 370 Colt Better than Ready x Kolstar, by Star Witness

Half-brother to smart 3YO In Evidence, who has had five wins and five placings from 13 starts earning over $200,000 and is from a winning half-sister to stakes-placed Zoulah and daughter of Group III placed Okaylah from the family of Group II winner Coldplay.
