Godolphin Stayer Tops Inglis December Sale

Media Release - Friday December 8

An outstanding draft of racing stock presented by Godolphin resulted in a perfect clearance rate, highlighted by the top-priced Lot at a successful December Thoroughbred Sale at Oaklands Junction today.

Former European stayer Big Blue sold for $102,000 to Maher Bloodstock, one of four horses to reach six figures.

Other Lots to realise $100,000 were the geldings Demonstrate and Foundation and the race mare Soiree.

Godolphin was one of 20 vendors to enjoy a perfect clearance rate at the mixed sale, ensuring the sale's overall clearance rate was a very pleasing 90%.

Today's sale was the last Inglis sale for 2018, and capped off a very successful year for Inglis, Australia's leading thoroughbred auctioneer.

The first auction for the new year is the Classic Yearling Sale, the historic first sale at Riverside Stables in Sydney from February 10-13 where 800 yearlings will be offered over four magnificent days of selling.
