Moody Happy with $650,000 Filly and $525,000 Colt

Tara Madgwick - Sunday March 3

Peter Moody is feeling happy to get to the end of the first session of the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale having already secured what he thought were the colt and filly of the sale.

Moody paid $650,000 for Blue Gum Farm’s Snitzel filly from Charleston Dancer and $525,000 for Yulong’s Written Tycoon colt from Talented.

$650,000 Snitzel filly from Charleston Dancer sold by Blue Gum Farm.

The Written Tycoon colt from Group III placed Snitzel mare Talented has an older two year-old full sister called Editing that made $650,000 at Magic Millions last year for Yulong when bought by Ciaron Maher Bloodstock/Group 1 Bloodstock, while the Snitzel filly from Charleston Dancer is a half-sister to slick Group III winning mare She Dances, who is trained by Moody.

$525,000 Written Tycoon colt from Talented sold by Yulong.

She Dances has won nearly $800,000 and her dam Charleston Dancer is a half-sister to the dam of Saturday’s fast juvenile stakes-winner Bold Bastille, so it’s certainly a good family for speedy fillies.
