Todman Stakes on the Radar for All Too Hard's All Inclusive

Mark Smith - Sunday February 25

David Vandyke plans to take his exciting 2-year-old gelding All Inclusive to Sydney for the Group II Todman Stakes after the son of All Too Hard made a stunning debut in the QTIS Jewel Prelude Plate (1110m) at Doomben on Saturday.

Ridden by Ryan Maloney, All Inclusive had plenty to do when back near the tail of the field on making the home turn.

Brought widest of all, the son of All Too Hard displayed an impressive turn of foot to pick off runner after runner to win by one and a quarter lengths. The $650,000 Zoustar colt Street Chase was second, with the Spirit Of Boom colt Defiant Boom back in third.

By the same sire as his former star pupil, Alligator Blood, All Inclusive has his trainer excited.

"We always thought he'd be a better three-year-old, so what he's doing now and what you just saw is raw talent," Vandyke told Racenet.

"I was expecting him to be a bit closer in the run because I thought he'd begin well and then be lost.

"I was just hoping he'd pick up in the straight and the turn of foot he showed; if he pulls up well, we're off to Sydney."

"Twelve hundred metres at Randwick in two weeks and the way he just performed then in his first start, I think we'd be mad not to go."

All Inclusive a $220,000 Inglis Classic yearling

A $220,000 purchase for Vandyke Bloodstock from the Vinery Stud draft at the 2023 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale, All Inclusive is the first winner for the winning Lonhro mare Lonyx, a half-sister to Group II winner Sexy Eyes (Written Tycoon) and Listed winner Tina Melina (Jet Spur).

Sexy Eyes was sold to Suman Hedge Bloodstock (FBAA) for $650,000 at the 2019 National Broodmare Sale. It proved a handy investment, with her first two foals by Zoustar selling for $1,250,000 and $1,000,000 and a Farnan filly making $500,000.

Lonyx’s sister Innishbeg is the dam of Group III VRC Maribyrnong Plate winner Aspect (Pluck) and dual Listed stakes-winner Brown Ben (Big Brown).

After foaling a brother to All Inclusive last spring, Lonyx was covered by Ole Kirk.
