Popular syndicators Star Thoroughbreds and Prime Thoroughbreds enjoyed
metropolitan success with Sebring three year-olds on Wednesday.
The powerful Chris Waller stable won the opening event at the ATC meeting at
Wyong with fast finishing filly Velocita, who flew home from last to beat her
stablemate and race favourite Plagiarist by a long neck in the 1600 metre
maiden.
Velocita had shown good improvement at each of her first three starts and now
that she's broken the ice will undoubtedly go forward in leaps and bounds.
A $195,000 Inglis Easter purchase for Star Thoroughbreds from the Fairview Park
draft, she is a half-sister to Group III winner Nancy from stakes-winner
Shalimar Sky.

at Sandown and duly saluted as favourite in the 1400 metre contest.
The John Moloney trained filly has now won two of seven starts placing a
further two times and has more wins in store.
