Sponsored Content - by Tara Madgwick - Thursday February 8

The Alma Vale Kitchwin Hills partnership was launched in the sale ring at Magic Millions last month and now it’s full steam ahead for Inglis Classic with a big draft of 19 by 14 different stallions including champion sire Zoustar.

Verna Metcalfe (General Manager of Alma Vale and Kitchwin Hills) and Stud Manager Oscar Englebrecht  are preparing to be busy as their Zoustar colt is one of only three colts in the sale by the Widden Stud favourite, who was the leading sire in the world last year by winners.

Lot 140

Offered on Sunday as Lot 140, the colt is the first foal of Brooke’s Edge, an unraced half-sister by Hinchinbrook to five winners headed by dual Group I winning filly Every Rose and it’s a prolific winning and running family with the second, third and fourth dams producing 23 winners, five of them Group and stakes-winners including Group I winner Racer’s Edge.

Zoustar is running at 100% winner to runner – five winners from five runners - with mares by Hinchinbrook and drawing a slightly longer bow the Zoustar x Fastnet Rock (sire of Hinchinbrook) nick runs at 80% winner to runner with five stakes-winners including Group I winners Zougotcha and Joliestar.
