Classic First Season Sires Will Make an Impact

Having had a good look at the progeny of first season sires through Magic Millions and Karaka, the market has had a chance to assess the young guns and now we move to Inglis Classic starting this Sunday where five of the top 10 most represented sires are first season sires.

Of the young guns, Farnan has the highest number of entries with 24 followed by Ole Kirk with 23, North Pacific and King’s Legacy on 22, plus Anders on 20.

Golden Slipper winner and Champion 2YO Farnan (Not a Single Doubt) had an MM Book 1 average $309,483 with his top seller $1.2million.

Champion 3YO Ole Kirk (Written Tycoon) won both the Golden Rose and Caulfield Guineas and had an MM Book 1 average of $213,438 with his top seller $1million.

 

Group III winner and second in the Golden Rose, North Pacific (Brazen Beau) had an MM Book 1 average of $137,000 with his top seller $260,000.

 

Dual Group I winning 2YO King’s Legacy (Redoute’s Choice) had an MM Book 1 average of $157,963 with his top seller $775,000.

 

Group III winning sprinter Anders (Not a Single Doubt) had an MM Book 1 average of $194,000 with his top seller $330,000.
