Field of 12 for 2017 Bletchingly Stakes

A field of 12 sprinters have accepted to contest Sunday's Group III Bletchingly Stakes at Sandown.

High winds forced the postponement of the $150,000 race from last Saturday's Caulfield meeting before the Melbourne Racing Club added the Bletchingly Stakes to the Grand National Hurdle card.

The original Bletchingly Stakes featured a field of 13 runners but the Mick Kent-trained Supido and Adelaide galloper Daytona Grey are not among Sunday's acceptors.

Cranbourne trainer Robbie Laing has added Lord Of The Sky to the Sandown mix while Dwayne Dunn will replace the holidaying Craig Williams aboard the Robert Smerdon-trained Ability.

Dunn was aboard Ability in the five-year-old's last win in the Listed All Victorian Sprint Series Final but missed last Saturday's Caulfield meeting through suspension.

Meanwhile, the $200m,000 Grand National Hurdle has attracted a field of 10 runners, including the talented Kiwi jumper Sea King, who will carry the 71.5kg top weight.
