Tara Madgwick - Thursday November 23
The progeny of two mares purchased in Australia for more than $1million at the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale made their mark at the 2017 Goffs November Foal Sale and the mares themselves will be offered for sale in Ireland tonight.

Melito fetched $1,650,000 in 2012Multiple Group I winning Redoute's Choice mare Melito produced the highest priced colt of the sale with her Galileo youngster fetching 625,000 euros when bought by Ken Bolger.

The colt was offered by The Castlebridge Consignment to dissolve a partnership between Coolmore and the China Horse Club.

The colt is a half-brother to the Australian bred Japanese Group 3-placed Campbell Junior (Encosta De Lago) and will eventually be trained by one of Galileo's biggest supporters in Jim Bolger.

"Galileo has been very lucky for us and this is a grand colt with a good page who we'll put into training down the line," said Ken Bolger.

A Galileo filly from the 2012/2013 New Zealand Filly of the Year Fix sold for 400,000 euros and she was also bought by Ken Bolger.

FixMelito was originally bought by Coolmore from the 2012 Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale for $1,650,000, while Fix was bought in 2015 from the same sale for $1,250,000.
