A
big team of Blueblood Thoroughbreds celebrated a smart Rosehill win on Saturday
with progressive Sebring mare Sedanzer, a $125,000 Magic Millions purchase from
the Three Bridges Thoroughbreds draft.
Trained by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott, Sedanzer (image Steve Hart) was thought good enough to
contest some of the better staying races for three year-olds in Adelaide last
season finishing fourth in the Group III SAJC Auraria Stakes and fifth in the
Group I SAJC Australasian Oaks.
She resumed from a spell in the Benchmark 82 event over 1400 metres and powered
home to win by a head, her fourth win from just 10 starts with prizemoney
topping $146,000.
Sedanzer looms as nice horse to follow over the summer as she steps up in
distance.
Bred by Three Bridges in partnership with Richard Pegum, Sedanzer is a
half-sister to stakes-placed So Detached and is one of three winners from
Voltdanze, a three-quarter sister to Group I winner Dealer Principal.
Voltdanze has foaled this spring producing a colt by Magic Millions 2YO Classic
winner Unencumbered.
Three Bridges Thoroughbreds will head back to the 2018 Magic Millions Yearling
