Wootton Bassett (GB) has several likely types, while perennial sales-topper I Am Invincible has a colt on offer whose half-sister Too Darn Lizzie (Too Darn Hot) is a short-priced favourite to make a winning debut in Saturday’s $500,000 The Debut 2yo Fillies at the Gold Coast after a brilliant barrier trial at Warwick Farm.

Second foal of a winning three-quarter-sister to Gr III ATC Triscay Stakes winner Lilliburlero and stakes-placed Vimy, dam of the Group II ATC Pago Pago Stakes winner Souchez.

Dam is a daughter of Gr 1 MVRC Australia Stakes and Gr 1 VRC Lightning Stakes winner Regimental Gal.

First foal of 9-time Gr 1 winner Avantage, who set a world record for a horse sold online when knocked down to Coolmore for $4.1 million when offered on Gavelhouse.

Add that to the over $2 million won on the track that’s a decent return on the $210,000 forked out by David Ellis for the half-sister to stakes-winner Asathought (So You Think) at Karaka in 2017.

Bayrock is a regular visitor to Savabeel, and her foals don’t come cheap, her last four selling for $625,000, $600,000, $875,000, and $825,000.

Plenty of Frankel about this three-quarter sister to Godolphin’s consistent, stakes-placed, Dhahabi, whose half-sister Ozara (Lope de Vega) has been doing the right thing by ending 2023 with a Listed win and beginning 2024 with another stakes win at Gulfstream Park.

Dam is a winning half-sister to Golden Horn, the Horse of the Year in Europe in 2015 and Champion 3YO Colt in Europe in 2015, and stakes-winner Easter Belle the dam of dual Gr III winner Magellan.

A daughter of the Gr 1 VRC Emirates Stakes winner Sky Cuddle (Snippets), Champagne Cuddles was one of the many expensive purchases made by Coolmore to support Justify (USA) in his second Southern Hemisphere season.

The daughter of Not A Single Doubt came at a cost of $2 million at her first foal, French Empire (Justify), sold here last year for $700,000 and is showing promise for Annabel Neasham.

His colt is a half-brother to three winners, including the Gr 1 New Zealand Two Thousand Guineas runner-up Meritable (Snitzel), who was recently second to Dragonstone in the Listed Starlight Stakes at Rosehill.

Dam is a Sydney winning sister to Precious Lorraine, Lucky Raquie, and Quench the Thirst, and a three-quarter-sister to Manhattan Rain, Rubick, and Echoes Of Heaven, from the family of Redoute’s Choice and Shoals.

She has been named Too Darn Lizzie and won a barrier trial at Warwick Farm on December 22 by over four lengths for Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott.  Too Darn Lizzie is an acceptor for the $500,000 The Debut 2yo Fillies Plate at the Gold Coast on Saturday.
