Aussie Stakes-Winner in South Africa

Tara Madgwick - Monday November 20
Australian bred stayer Kinaan won the Listed Kenilworth Cup in South Africa on Saturday providing a pedigree boost for his dam, who produced a stunning filly by Pride of Dubai in early August.

A homebred for Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Maktoum, the Mike de Kock trained Galileo gelding Kinaan ran an out an easy length and three-quarter winner in the 3200 metre staying test as favourite.

Group place previously, Kinaan has won three of 23 starts with six further placings.

Foaled and raised at Coolmore for the Sheikh, Kinaan is the first foal of Dazzledar (GB), an unraced Zamindar grand-daughter of Danehill's dam Razyana. Go back another generation and it's the family of our Victoria Derby winner Ace High.

Dazzledar has a yearling colt by Smart Missile and produced this lovely filly by Pride of Dubai this spring.
