With
his first Australian two year-olds now out and running, Darley's Epaulette is
coming to the end of his first season with Northern Hemisphere runners and
posted his 20th overnight in Italy.
Two year-old filly Malika Moon ran out an impressive winner of the one-mile
maiden in Rome on Tuesday.
Settled off the early pace, Malika Moon powered to the line to win by four
lengths.
Melika Moon was bred in Ireland by Michael Joyce and is the fourth winner for She
Runs, a half-sister to French stakes-winner Troque.
Epaulette's tally of 20 Northern Hemisphere winners is headed by Group placed
colt McMunigal and stakes-placed Sankari Royale.
Epaulette is returning to Ireland again in 2018 for Darley and is currently at
their Aberdeen base standing at a fee of $22,000.
