2024 Magic Millions Tasmanian Yearling Sale Now Online

Media Release - Tuesday November 28

The quest to find the next stakes star from the Magic Millions Tasmanian Yearling Sale has begun with the release of the quality online catalogue for the 2024 edition of the popular auction.

An outstanding line up 140 youngsters has been catalogued for the auction at Quercus Park, Carrick, on the outskirts of Launceston, on Monday, February 26. Click here to see the sale.

Some 57 individual sires, including 13 with members of their first crop, are represented by progeny in Tasmania in 2024.

The sale has a proud history of producing stars across the state and mainland and also internationally. From Mystic Journey, Palentino, The Cleaner, Turk Warrior, Take the Sit and Still a Star - the sale has a remarkable honour roll from boutique sized catalogues.

The release of the 2024 catalogue comes after a recent new agreement to extend the home of the Tasmanian Yearling Sale at Quercus Park for another four years.

The agreement approved by Rural Youth, Tasracing, Tasbreeders and Magic Millions commences in 2024 and will extend to at least 2027.

The Quercus Park venue has been warmly welcomed by vendors and buyers alike as it hosts the cream of the Tasmanian yearling crop each year.

In 2024 the Magic Millions feature races will move forward, to Sunday February 4, to better slot in to the Tasmanian Summer Racing Carnival.

"Quercus Park has quickly established itself as the home of the Tasmanian Yearling Sale," Magic Millions Managing Director Barry Bowditch said. "It has proven itself as the ideal location to showcase the best of what Tasmania has to offer."

"We are very much looking forward to the action on the Apple Isle in February, from the Magic Millions feature races in early February through to the sale on February 26."

"The Tasmanian Thoroughbred Industry has so much to be proud of and we look forward to offering the 2024 crop in February."

"The sale is renowned for both quality and value with buyers and we can't wait to welcome back many friends, both old and new, to Quercus Park," Bowditch added.
