Victory for gavelhouse.com Purchase Brassy Belle

Media Release - Monday November 6
Victory Thoroughbreds' Gavelhouse purchase Brassy Belle is already providing returns to her new ownership group having run second first up before going one better on Saturday.

Brassy BellBought by Victory Thoroughbredsprincipal Shane Ciurleo for $29,000 on gavelhouse.com  in late July, the well-related daughter of Rip Van Winkle looks like she will fill the racing partnerships brief of providing fun and lots of rewards for those that want to experience racehorse ownership without a huge monetary investment.

Despite her 59kg impost, Brassy Belle made light work of the mile event at Toowoomba on with a two-and-a-half length winning margin while walking away with $7,800 in prizemoney.

"I was very happy with the win," commented Shane Ciurleo, who runs the racing partnerships for Ben Currie Racing.

"Obviously the goal was to get her back in winning form, you know it's not so much improving her from her previous trainer it's just changing her scenery, getting her back to her best previous level and seeing what she can do in less competitive company- we have her nominated her in town this weekend in a Class Three event."

"We will see how she is how she is over the next few days before we decide whether we back her up or not."

Currently training at approximately 30% winners to runners there is a fair amount of excitement surrounding the stable with Shane happy to purchase Brassy Belle for the team "I was rapt with the sales process on gavelhouse.com and impressed with the communication."

"The service throughout the sale and after the sale was excellent."

With gavelhouse.com owned by New Zealand Bloodstock buyers may also take advantage of the company's auxiliary services with Shane noting that his request for a quote for insurance, provided by New Zealand Bloodstock Insurance was quickly responded to.

gavelhouse.com purchases also have access to preferential rates with New Zealand Bloodstock Airfreight.
