Coolmore Announce 2024 European Fees

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday November 8

Coolmore have announced their fees for 2024 in Ireland with the roster topped by Wootton Bassett, who is currently in Australia covering his third book of mares to Southern Hemisphere time.

Wootton Bassett stands for a career-high €200,000 in 2024.

With three new Group I winners this year in King of Steel, Bucanero Fuerte and Unquestionable, Wootton Bassett has been given a rise from €150,000 to €200,000 (A$332,214) , making his Australian fee this spring of $93,500 look like remarkably good value.

No Nay Never is next on the list at €150,000 with Siyouni’s four time Group I winning son Paddington new to the team at €55,000.

Coolmore's David O’Loughlin said: "We’re delighted to have three new exciting prospects for the coming season in the shape of Siyouni’s brilliant son Paddington, No Nay Never’s European champion two-year-old Little Big Bear, and Battaash’s well-performed own-brother The Antarctic.

"Many of our stallions have enjoyed fantastic seasons but, in line with prevailing market conditions, we’ve decreased the fees of ten of the 18 who remain on the roster from last year."

Immediate plans for Deep Impact colt Auguste Rodin, Coolmore's dual Derby and Breeders' Cup Turf hero, are yet to be decided. Speaking on Monday, trainer Aidan O'Brien said: "We're not sure yet about whether he'll stay in training or not, and that will be spoken about in the next week to ten days."
