Thoroughbreds Are Go Returns to Sky on Monday Night

Media Release - Sunday October 29

Australia's only national thoroughbred re-homing program "Thoroughbreds Are Go" returns to Sky Thoroughbred Central this Monday night with great advice on the best way to find homes for the horses we breed to race.

Shane Rose and The Bandit.

Triple Olympic medalist Shane Rose is the feature interview in the return episode, talking how his pre-training work at Bimbadeen Lodge preparing thoroughbreds to not only win Group 1's but to also make reliable off-track mounts.

Shane has educated stars of the turf such as Golden Slipper winners' Capitalist and She Will Reign as well as five-time Group 1 winner The Autumn Sun and he introduces us to The Bandit one of several young thoroughbreds he's preparing for elite level eventing.

Also, the Thoroughbreds Are Go sponsored rider at Equimillion, Leah Beth Anderton and leading Australian equestrian Sam Woods on former Chris Waller galloper Yiyi, a racehorse he loved so much as a pre-trainer he bought at the end of his racing career.

Future episodes will feature the incredible Aussie Olympian Merv Bennett and his descendants' great affinity with the thoroughbred, former jockey and aspiring Paris 2024 Parlaympian Kate Niperess and other inspiring stories about the great lives ex-racehorses can lead when they are re-homed with care.

Thoroughbreds Are Go airs on Sky Thoroughbred Central (Foxtel CH 528) at 7.30pm AEDST on Monday nights for the next five weeks.
