Media Release - Friday October 20

The chance to buy into a runner in next month’s G1 Melbourne Cup or $3m The Big Dance presents in a unique set of offerings in the Inglis Digital October (Late) Online Sale.

A 10% share in the Ciaron Maher and David Eustace-trained 5YO Future History is one of the most intriguing and rare offerings online all year.

Future History – a winner of six of his 15 career starts to date in both France and Australia – is exempt from ballot for the $8m Melbourne Cup due to his last-start victory in the G3 Bart Cummings Hcp.

He will carry just 50kg at Flemington on the first Tuesday in November.

Future History (pictured) started his career in France before being purchased and brought to Australia to continue his career.

In his five runs in Australia he has won twice and placed twice and is a young stayer with untapped potential.

Future History – whose 10% share is being offered unreserved - is a $26 chance with Ladbrokes to win the Melbourne Cup.

Superium is another entry that will provide his new connections an automatic entry into one of the biggest races of the Sydney Spring Carnival.

Currently trained by Team Hawkes, Superium qualified for the $3m The Big Dance through a comfortable victory in the Taree Cup at his most recent start a fortnight ago.

He is already a Stakes victor, a winner of almost $800,000 and is a $21 chance with Ladbrokes in The Big Dance.

The Big Dance will be run at Randwick on Tuesday November 7.

Kote has untapped potential and has been a regular in black type races during both the autumn and spring carnivals.

This year alone Kote has defeated the likes of Lost And Running, Athelric, Spacewalk, Dashing Legend, Economics, Handle The Truth etc as well as finishing 2nd to high-class mare Opal Ridge at Stakes level.

Two starts ago he finished within 4.5 lengths of the best sprinter in the country in Everest winner Think About It and close-up behind the likes of Bella Nipotina, Hawaii Five Oh, Zapateo, Alcohol Free etc.

In total the Inglis Digital October (Late) catalogue consists of 201 lots – 112 racehorses (46 race fillies), 38 broodmares, 28 racehorse shares, 18 yearlings, 3 unbroken stock and 2 2YOs.
