Everest Field and Barrier Draw- The Race That Shapes the Sire Title

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday October 10

The field and barrier draw is out for the $20million the Everest this Saturday at Randwick with 12 horses to do battle for the richest prize in Australian racing.

I Am Invincible has two Everest runners and an emergency,

The result has the potential to have a major bearing on the Australian General Sires List with Yarraman Park’s superstar I Am Invincible, who has won the past two Australian Champion Sire titles, represented by two runners in Hawaii Five Oh and In Secret as well as the emergency runner King of Sparta.

Coolmore favourite So You Think, who has been second to I Am Invincible in the Champion Sires race for the past two seasons and a victory for his brilliant son Think About It could tilt the scales his way in 2024.

Think About is shooting for nine wins in a row and has drawn gate five- image Grant Courtney

Snitzel has already won this race twice previously with his lightning fast son Redzel and on both occasions he subsequently won the Champion Sire title, so Shinzo has the potential to the Arrowfield Stud stalwart put him back on top.
