David Coles Awarded an Honorary Life Fellow of FBAA

The Federation of Bloodstock Agents Australia is pleased to announce that David Coles AM has been recognized posthumously as an Honorary Life Fellow of the FBAA.

David Coles is pictured on the right.

David was a founding member of the FBAA in 1988 and provided distinguished service to the organization and, more broadly, the bloodstock agent profession throughout his career. David was a highly respected bloodstock agent and auctioneer, and was the figurehead of industry heavyweights of the time; Coles Bros, Dalgety Bloodstock and ABCOS.

Aside from his personal achievements in the industry, David was instrumental in the development of a significant number of Australian thoroughbred industry participants. Among his graduates include current FBAA members John Foote, Adrian Hancock, Grant Burns and Simon Vivian.

FBAA President, Craig Rounsefell commented, “The FBAA and our members are proud of the organization’s history in which David Coles played a significant role. We are determined to build on this foundation and continue to set the standard for bloodstock agents in Australia and around the world”.

David Coles joins Les Young, Brian Muschialli and Tim Stewart as recipients of the award.
