The familiar colours of John Camilleri’s Fairway Thoroughbreds were in the winner’s circle at Pontefract in the UK overnight with a first victory for two year-old Kingman colt Sala Da Ballo
The George Boughey trained colt scored an easy two and a half length win over 6f at his third start.

ed in at the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Book 1 last year, Sala da Ballo is the third winner for Australian bred Encosta de Lago mare One Last Dance, who won the Group III MRC Blue Diamond Prelude and is a half-sister to the dam of this season’s Group II ATC Missile Stakes winner I Am Me.
Bred and raced by Fairway Thoroughbreds, One Last Dance started her stud career in Australia before being sent to the Northern Hemisphere, but is now back in Australia and was covered by Home Affairs last spring.
