Breednet Follow the Official Sydney 2YO Trials - Heats 10 - 12

Tara Madgwick - Monday September 18

All 2YO heats this morning run at Randwick over 850m until Heat 5 when reduced to 845m.

Heat 12 – Fillies – Invincible Madison – 49.55 seconds

I Am Invincible filly Invincible Madison was a beauty in the sale ring when selling at Magic Millions this year for $1.2million and has lost none of her good looks and appeal since January. She travelled sweetly behind the leaders and when angled into the clear by Sam Clipperton, the Peter and Paul Snowden trained filly lengthened stride to win easily.

Invincible Madison sold for $1.2million at Magic Millions.

Bought by US investor Tammy Rigney from the Glenlogan Park draft, Invincible Madison is a three-quarter sister-in-blood to Champion Singapore 2YO Super One and is the first foal of Group II placed sprinter Super Too.

Heat 11 – Colts – Volatile – 49.32 seconds

Trained by Peter and Paul Snowden and sporting the China Horse Club colours, Snitzel colt Volatile settled last in his heat, but charged to the line full of running to win his heat by a couple of lengths under a hold.

Volatile was a $550,000 Magic Millions purchase.

A $550,000 Magic Millions purchase for China Horse Club/Newgate/Go/Trilogy from the Newgate Farm draft, Volatile is from winning Lonhro mare Artemis Rose, a half-sister to stakes-winner Regrowth and to the dam of Golden Slipper winner Forensics. He traces in tail female line to blue hen Easy Date, so is from the family of outstanding sires Snippets and Not a Single Doubt as well promising young sire King’s Legacy.

Heat 10 – Fillies – Gerringong – 49.46 seconds

Darley shuttler Blue Point (IRE) struck again in this heat for Gai and Adrian with a John Singleton homebred filly Gerringong ridden out to win the heat from the Maher and Eustace trained Rubick filly Erno’s Cube, who did a good job and was cuddled late, while another Tassort filly Manaal ran well for third.

The dam of Gerringong, This Time Bride was sold at the Strawberry Hill Dispersal for $100,000.

Gerringong escaped the recent dispersal of Strawberry Hill Stud stock at which her mother This Time Bridie and yearling half-sister by Street Boss (USA) were both sold. Gerringong is a half-sister to progressive Sydney winning Frankel mare Our Maryanne and comes from the Deedra branch of the Joe Denise family, so expect her to be even better at three.
